Oh Blah Blah Retrospective

       Today one of my friends shared a story about how anyone who didn't think Oh Blah Blah was a great president only felt that way because he was black.  Oh brother.  Estase wishes to outline some reasons he thought Oh Blah Blah was a crappy president.  And none of them have anything to do with race.
                 I.  He was the most pro-abortion president ever.  Obama promoted abortion every way conceivable (no pun intended).  He created Obamacare with the sole aim of finding a way to sidestep the Hyde Amendment.  Before Oh Blah Blah, Clinton was the most pro-abortion president ever (partially to hide the ugly fact that he used women like Kleenex).  But even Peace &Love Inc. pretended to wish abortion was rare!  The crowning touch was forcing religious organizations to buy abortion drugs for their employees.

               II.  Coddling radical Muslims and Communists was second nature to Obama.  He turned NASA into a pro-Muslim propaganda organization.  He removed sanctions on the Castro brothers in Cuba.  His appointees went on record praising Hugo Chavez.  (And we all know what great things Communism has done for Venezuela!)

              III.  The IRS scandal.  Obama shamelessly used the IRS as an attack dog against right of center organizations.  People vilify Nixon's use of an Enemies List, but Obama did the same thing, and CNN never devoted a minute of airtime to the scandal.

               IV.  The officer purge within the U.S. military was an unprecedented attack on our military readiness.  The end result is an incompetent Navy, where boats inexplicably end up in Iranian custody, and warships collide with other vessels.

      Lots of politicians end up on Estase's dishonor roll.  Seeing this article made me feel the need to give an accounting of why I didn't like Obama.  Being accused of racism is not something Estase takes lightly.   At the same time, this was the evil genius of leftists:  to make their standard-bearer a person of color, so that anyone questioning their actions could be dismissed as a racist.  If only the right were so cognizant of appearances!  Instead, most conservatives were convinced of the wisdom of making someone who used racial and national scapegoating on a regular basis their standard-bearer.   But perhaps Estase is some kind of racist for not backing Orange Blatherskite?

A Modest Proposal

If you give me 400 billion dollars to screw away, the world will be sunshine and roses!  If we build new schools (while many of America's prisons are over 100 years old and obsolete), the Israelis will make peace with their neighbors!  If we employ construction workers to build new schools, the Chinese will forget about how much we owe them!  I know the first stimulus was an absolute failure but, hey, let's try it again!

The world will reach nirvana!  Dogs won't chase cats!  People will eat food from a gas station and not get diarrhea!  Don't you get it?  Everything will be perfect if we just pass the bill now!

Impending Government Shutdown

Obama will shut down the government to piss off as many people as he can.  To mobilize a vast army of people dependent on government, he must convince them that, instead of trying to impose some sort of rationality on government spending, what Boehner really wants is to cut off government help entirely.  Which is really ironic, since the spending spree going on since Pelosi became speaker in 2006 has been what really threatens the basic ability of government to continue to provide assistance to the poor.  But perception, not reality, is what is important to politics, and Obama must make it the perception that Boehner is trying to hurt the poor, not that he is trying to destabilize the government through unlimited spending.

Thus, despite any efforts Obama may pretend to make, the shutdown is as inevitable as the death of Amy Winehouse.

On a completely different topic, the Vatican bitch-slapped RealCatholicTV's event at World Youth Day by making an unusual press release stating that the conservative's function is not sponsored by the official church.  On a similar note, slime artist Ron Conte defends the undefensible by claiming the Calvinist hymn Amazing Grace is totally consistent with Catholic Mass, despite the fact that it says that belief , not sacraments, are the source of grace.  Mr. Conte's war with New Theological Movement is becoming an unseemly display of his pretended orthodoxy winning out over Christian charity.

Why Obama Isn't Muslim

Obama's speech to the Hispanic Congressional Caucus uses a verbatim quote from the Declaration of Independence-- minus the words "by their creator!" This is not accidental. Obama is a sixties-style european socialist, whose legal philosophy is positivist. There is no room for God in Oh Blah Blah's equation. This is why he calls middle Americans "bitter people who cling to God and guns." Why is anyone surprised by this? Oh Blah Blah has no attachment to any kind of religion, save Jeremiah Wright type "God damn America."

Does Obama Hate Israel?

Maybe this attitude from a top Obama confidant explains why Iran is allowed to do whatever it wants to dissidents, while U.S. pressure keeps Israel from construction on the West Bank.

Saw a t-shirt today saying "I Support Wind Power," which gave Estase an idea. Set up a turbine in front of Oh Blah Blah's podium, right next to the teleprompter that feeds him everything focus groups tell him they want to hear.

Christians and the F-Word

One of the most resilient condemnations of Hilaire Belloc and G.K. Chesterton is the accusation of the F-Word. FASCISM! In 1937, Chesterton opined that Britain's financial and social problems were so profound that he couldn't exclude fascism as a possible remedy. What exactly does fascism mean? Fascism means a government that gets involved in every aspect of society. Many associate it with the Nazis, although this isn't really honest because the Holocaust, Nazism's worst crime, was not even undertaken until 1940, after Chesterton's death and three years after his comment on fascism.

Fascism is in the eye of the beholder. The NRA Franklin Roosevelt created was fascist in all but its name. Roosevelt was supported by radio priest Father Charles Coughlin. Coughlin was used to promote the leftist melange known as Catholic Social Teaching, and was condemned after he drifted into the anti-Semitism that one would expect from a fascist. Coughlin was used by Roosevelt to promote his New Deal. Most historians would shrink from calling FDR a fascist, but who would expect otherwise from Roosevelt's biggest fans.

In much the same way, few would describe Barack Obama as a fascist. Estase sees signs of fascism in Obama's message. Example One: Obama has nationalized Chrysler and General Motors. Obama has taken over the biggest banks in America. He is using these now-public assets to promote his obsessions- - environmentalism and the redistribution of wealth. Example Two: Obama wants to create even more government control over our health care. Obama intends to punish those of us who don't live on granola and mineral water. If you don't believe me, see the Politico online newsmagazine of Tuesday, June 10. Santa will pay for your health care, but only if you're a good little boy or girl. Example Three: Obama will send you to college, whether you have any brains or not. See also Argentina in the 1950's, where the universities functioned mainly to promote the ideals of fascist dictator Juan Peron. Example Four: Obama is trying to kill private charity. In the coming years, Obama will force Catholic hospitals out of business. He will do this in two ways. He already intends to remove the tax deduction for charitable contributions. In addition, his rewriting of the conscience clause will no doubt force even Catholic hospitals to perform abortions. These two actions will make it impossible for Catholic hospitals to continue as such. Thus, America's poor will depend even more on the beneficience of government for survival.

The time for action is now. The people who have convinced themselves that Obama is merely liberal need to realize that Obama is more than a Carter, more than a Clinton, perhaps even more than an FDR.
